Seven seasons of CDL champions, in short
The Call of Duty League crowned its first CDL champions in 2020, when Dallas Empire dismantled Atlanta FaZe 5–1 behind a young Shotzzy and the cagey veteran presence of Crimsix and Clayster. Atlanta turned the page a year later, and the 2021 FaZe roster — Simp, aBeZy, Cellium, Arcitys — finally converted years of grand-final heartbreak into the franchise's first ring. Reading the CDL champions list season by season, you can trace how the league's balance of power moved from Dallas to Atlanta to Los Angeles in just three years.
2022 belonged to Los Angeles, where Los Angeles Thieves edged FaZe 5–1 on the back of Kenny's Finals-MVP performance. 2023 rewrote the map: New York Subliners swept OpTic Texas 5–0, and with HyDra lifting the trophy the CDL had its first French world champion. OpTic Texas then answered with the league's first dynasty of the franchised era — 2024 and 2025 titles, the latter sealed 5–3 over a stubborn Vancouver Surge squad.
2026 delivered a brand-new ending: relocated and rebranded, FaZe Vegas stormed the Las Vegas Championship undefeated and beat OpTic Texas 5–2 in the final, handing Simp yet another ring while denying OpTic's three-peat. Seven seasons, six different champions, one constant — the table above is the game's best study material, because ring holders dominate the daily answer pool.
Who has the most CDL rings?
Three players own three world titles each: Crimsix, Karma, Clayster. Crimsix and Karma set the standard in the pre-league era and carried it into CDL history, while Clayster added his third ring with the 2020 Empire run — across three different franchises. Every multi-ring name on the all-time leaderboard is a high-value target in the daily puzzle: when the ring arrow points up, you are hunting one of the select few.
