What we collect
Nothing, server-side. There is no registration, no email capture tied to gameplay and no first-party analytics. We do not know who you are, and we have designed the site so that we cannot know. Game results, streaks and personal bests are written to your browser's localStorage and never leave your device.
Local storage
The games store your statistics locally — played puzzles, streaks, guess distributions and per-mode bests — under keys like cdlDailyStats. This is what powers your stats screen and share cards. Clearing your browser data resets everything; there is no cloud copy and no recovery.
Advertising
The site is free and funded by advertising. We work with third-party ad networks (currently Adsterra and Google AdSense, see ads.txt for the authorized sellers record). Depending on your region and consent choices, these partners may set cookies or use device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized advertising. You can typically control this via your browser settings, your OS privacy controls, or ad preferences offered by the provider (for Google, via Ads Settings). Where required by law, a consent banner governs personalized ads.
Third-party services
- Google Fonts — loads the site's typefaces; Google receives your IP address and user agent for the request.
- Ad networks — as described above; their own privacy policies apply to their processing.
- Hosting & CDN — the static site is served through our hosting provider's network, which processes standard request logs for security and reliability.
We deliberately keep this list short. There are no social trackers, no session recording and no data sales.
Children
The site is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — there is simply nothing to collect. Parents who want full erasure can clear the browser's site data at any time.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and friends)
Because no personal data is collected or stored by us, there is generally nothing to access, correct or delete. Ad partners process data under their own policies and legal bases; exercising your rights there (opt-out of personalized advertising, deletion of advertising identifiers) happens through their tools — browser privacy settings are the most effective single step.
Changes
If this policy changes materially — for example, if we ever add an account system — we will update the date above and the change will be described here in plain language.
